Includes Banks Big Head Wastegate Actuator for 99.5-03 Ford Powerstroke 7.3L Diesel …When turbo exhaust backpressure increases, the stock actuator prematurely blows off the seat, softening boost in the midrange and killing torque. With twice the diaphragm area and spring pressure of the stock wastegate, Banks BigHead Wastegate Actuator keeps the valve seated longer and achieves a higher peak boost, sooner. At peak, BigHead opens the wastegate and holds its position, for precise boost control that gives you crisp acceleration and more mid-range pulling power. For F-250 & F-350 Power Stroke Diesel trucks: The Banks 4″ Monster exhaust pipes bolt behind the turbocharger. The streamlined turbine-outlet pipe, intermediate pipe and tailpipe are formed of stainless steel, heavy-wall tubing with constant-diameter bends to maximize flow, lower exhaust gas temps and slash backpressure up to 81%. Kit includes a cast, large-bore Power Elbow housing.
The included polished-stainless Monster muffler features a straight-through 4″-diameter flow-path with a Banks-designed expansion chamber to dissipate the annoying mid-range exhaust drone that affects most straight-through designs. The muffler utilizes spun ceramic, very-high-temperature packing, more than doubles stock exhaust flow, and delivers an authoritative—but never intrusive—exhaust sound. A huge 5″ polished-stainless steel tailpipe tip sports a rolled edge. Double-walled design with 1/2″ air gap keeps heat from tarnishing exterior mirror finish. Adjustable clamp is included for positioning on tailpipe.
The Banks Power TrasCommand – 62570 is a top-of-the-line transmission module for use with your 1993-2005 Ford Powerstroke equipped with a E4OD or 4R100 automatic transmission. This can be used as a stand alone unit or with one of Banks Power’s Performance Systems.
TransCommand is an automatic-transmission-management computer that delivers functions that no single module can. The E4ODs and 4R100s-used in full-sized Ford trucks and vans since 1989-have soft, car-like shift characteristics. Many truck owners prefer firmer shifts, especially when hauling large loads. TransCommand is the quick, efficient cure. The electronic module senses the load and commands the transmission to raise the hydraulic pressure accordingly. Light-throttle shifts are smooth and firm, while full-throttle or heavy-load driving produces solid, decisive shifts. Excessive clutch slippage is eliminated, extending transmission life.
