Incorrect Starting ProcedureRefer to “The Starting Procedure Matrix“.

Engine Cranking Speed too SlowCheck Engine cranking RPM. Refer to “Engine Will Not Crank or Cranks Slowly“.

Starting Aid Needed for Cold Weather Check/ repair or replace cold starting aid, if necessary. 
OK

Air in the Fuel SystemBleed fuel system and check for suction leaks.
OK

Fuel Supply RestrictedClean or replace pre-filters and screens, check for fuel line restrictions.
OK

Fuel Drain BackVerify fuel return line is plumbed to the bottom of the fuel tank.
OK

Malfunctioning Fuel Return Overflow ValveCheck / replace fuel return overflow valve.
OK

Fuel Transfer Pump MalfunctioningCheck / replace fuel transfer pump.
OK

Intake Air System RestrictedCheck intake air system.
OK

Fuel ContaminatedVerify by operating engine from a temporary supply tank.
